Where This Is
Holiday City South sits about 4 miles southwest of the center of Toms River. It's one of the closer stops on our route compared to places like Lakewood, which runs 7 miles out, or Forked River at 12. That proximity matters when a spring lets go on a Saturday morning and you don't want to wait behind a truck that's driving the length of the county first.
We don't have a landmark list for this pocket and we're not going to invent one. What we do know is the housing stock, and that tells us more about the actual job than a street name would anyway. A garage door doesn't care what's across the road. It cares what year it was hung and what hardware came with it.
